Ocean Purpose Project's Sustainability Hackathon is an immersive ocean conservation, plastic pollution, and circular economy innovation programme that empowers students, corporates, startups, and community leaders to develop practical blue economy solutions for today's most urgent environmental challenges. Participants work alongside sustainability experts to tackle issues including single-use plastic, plastic waste, ocean plastic pollution, ocean plastic waste, microplastics, marine life impact, environmental degradation, toxic chemicals in plastic, and the growing global plastic footprint. Through design thinking, ESG innovation, sustainability education, and rapid prototyping, teams create scalable solutions ranging from plastic-free alternatives and biodegradable packaging to plastic-to-fuel technologies, marine biodiversity conservation, recycling innovations, and strategies that teach people how to reduce plastic waste, recycle plastic properly, and adopt a zero-waste lifestyle.
